Terms of Service

Welcome to Starzy. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Starzy mobile application ("App") and any related services provided by APPCODE S.R.L. ("Company", "we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, creating an account, or otherwise using the App, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use Starzy. By accessing or using the App, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. We do not knowingly collect data from or direct services to individuals under 18.
2. Account Registration and Security
To access the App's features, you must create an account using a valid email address or supported authentication provider. You agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
- Keep your account credentials confidential and secure.
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account.
You may not create multiple accounts, use another person's account, or transfer your account to anyone else without our prior written consent. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false, misleading, or outdated information.
3. Description of Service
Starzy is a personalized astrology platform that provides:
- Natal chart generation and interpretation based on birth date, time, and location.
- Daily horoscopes tailored to your astrological profile.
- Compatibility and synastry analysis between users.
- Crystal recommendations aligned with your astrological placements.
- Social features including friend connections and profile sharing.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time, with or without notice.
4. Subscriptions and Payments
4.1 Free and Premium Tiers
Starzy offers both free features and premium content accessible through paid subscriptions.
4.2 Billing
All subscription purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your device platform. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to the pricing and payment terms presented at the time of purchase.
4.3 Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (weekly, monthly, or annually, depending on the plan selected) unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
4.4 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your device's app store account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to premium features until that period expires. Deleting the App does not cancel your subscription.
4.5 Refunds
Refund requests are handled in accordance with the policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, as applicable. APPCODE S.R.L. does not process refunds directly.
4.6 Price Changes
We may change subscription pricing at any time. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle following reasonable notice. Continued use of the subscription after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
5. Astrological and AI-Generated Content
5.1 Nature of Content
Starzy provides astrological information, horoscope readings, natal chart interpretations, compatibility analyses, synastry reports, and crystal recommendations. This content is generated using astronomical calculations (Swiss Ephemeris) and artificial intelligence models.
5.2 Entertainment and Informational Purposes Only
All astrological and AI-generated content is provided strictly for entertainment and informational purposes. It does not constitute and shall not be interpreted as professional advice of any kind, including but not limited to medical, psychological, financial, legal, or relationship advice.
5.3 No Guarantees
We make no representations, warranties, or guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, or applicability of any astrological interpretation, horoscope, compatibility reading, or crystal recommendation. You acknowledge that astrology is not a science and that results are subjective.
5.4 User Responsibility
You agree that any decisions you make based on content provided by the App are made at your own risk and sole discretion. APPCODE S.R.L. shall not be held liable for any actions taken or not taken based on the App's content.
6. User Conduct
When using the App, including its social and interactive features, you agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, intimidate, bully, or abuse other users.
- Post or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- Create accounts using false identities or impersonate any person or entity.
- Collect, harvest, or store personal information of other users without their consent.
- Use the App for any unlawful, fraudulent, or malicious purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, its servers, databases, or any related systems.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity, performance, or availability of the App.
- Use automated scripts, bots, or other means to access the App or extract data.
- Exploit the App or its content for commercial purposes without our written authorization.
We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to investigate and take appropriate action against anyone who violates these provisions, including removing content, suspending access, or permanently terminating accounts.
7. User Data and Birth Information
To provide personalized astrological services, the App collects birth date, birth time, and birth location data. By providing this information, you:
- Confirm that you have the right to share any birth data you submit, including data submitted for compatibility features involving other individuals.
- Acknowledge that this data is used to generate astrological content within the App.
- Understand that your data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1 Ownership
All content, features, functionality, design, graphics, logos, trademarks, software, algorithms, and other materials in the App are the exclusive property of APPCODE S.R.L. or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
8.2 Limited License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms. This license does not include the right to:
- Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content.
- Create derivative works based on the App.
- Use the App's content for commercial purposes.
- Remove any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices.
8.3 Feedback
Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you submit to us regarding the App may be used by APPCODE S.R.L. without obligation, compensation, or attribution to you.
9. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including, but not limited to, Firebase (authentication and analytics), payment processors, push notification services, and AI content providers. Your use of these integrated services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. APPCODE S.R.L. is not responsible for the practices, availability, content, or policies of any third-party services.
10. Availability and Modifications
We strive to keep the App available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, server issues, or circumstances beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the App or any of its features at any time without prior notice or liability.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, APPCODE S.R.L. disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content.
- Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, viruses, or other harmful components.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, APPCODE S.R.L., its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any:
- Indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.
- Loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses.
- Damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
- Damages arising from any content, including astrological interpretations and AI-generated material.
- Damages arising from unauthorized access to or alteration of your data.
In no event shall our total aggregate liability for all claims arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the App exceed the amount you have paid to APPCODE S.R.L. in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty euros (EUR 50), whichever is greater.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless APPCODE S.R.L., its directors, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:
- Your use or misuse of the App.
- Your violation of these Terms.
- Your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
- Your violation of any rights of a third party.
14. Account Termination
14.1 Termination by You
You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Upon deletion, your personal data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through your app store account settings.
14.2 Termination by Us
We may suspend or permanently terminate your account and access to the App at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or prolonged inactivity.
14.3 Effect of Termination
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall remain in effect, including but not limited to intellectual property, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law.
15. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or via the email address associated with your account. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the latest revision was made. Your continued use of the App after revised Terms take effect constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the revised Terms, you must stop using the App.
16. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or if modification is not possible, severed from these Terms. The remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
17. Waiver
The failure of APPCODE S.R.L. to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of APPCODE S.R.L.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and APPCODE S.R.L. regarding your use of the App and supersede all prior agreements, communications, and understandings, whether written or oral.
19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Romania.
